Amazon Delivery Driver Rushes Into Burning Home To Save Elderly Man

An Amazon delivery driver is being hailed as a hero after he rushed into a burning building to save an elderly man trapped inside. 23-year-old Sean Campbell was delivering packages in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, when he heard a woman screaming. Campbell ran down the street and saw a house was on fire.

"I heard the screaming… and when you hear something like that, you have to go to it," he told WESH.

Campbell busted down the front door and found the confused man standing in the kitchen.

"He was in the kitchen, you know, with his walker just standing there. I don't think he really knew what was going on. I was like, 'Sir, c'mon. I need to help you. C'mon, let's get out,'" Campbell said.

Campbell helped the man outside, where he was reunited with his wife, who was rescued from the burning home by a neighbor. Firefighters also managed to save the family's dog from the fire, which started in the garage and quickly engulfed the entire house.

The elderly couple's son praised Campbell for risking his life by running into the burning house.

"It was fantastic. He was both here and able to go inside and brave enough to go inside. We really appreciate that," Tim West told the news station.
