Three people were shot and one person was stabbed during a dispute at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on Christmas night, CBS News reports.

Phoenix Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire at a restaurant in Terminal 4 outside a security checkpoint at 9:45 p.m. local time Wednesday (December 25) night. A woman and two men were located with gunshot wounds and hospitalized.

The woman was reported to have suffered life-threatening conditions, while the men were reported to be in stable condition. A man and a juvenile female were detained by police in an airport parking garage shortly after.

The man was taken to the hospital to be treated for at least one stab wound and reported to be in stable condition. Police said there was no initial indication that the woman was injured prior to being detained.

The Phoenix Police Department's preliminary investigation found that all of the people involved knew each other prior to the "physical altercation that escalated" after one individual puled out a gun, though it wasn't clear which one. No one else at the airport was reported to have experienced injuries in relation to the incident.

The security checkpoint was temporarily closed and Sky Train operations were delayed, though the Phoenix Police Department confirmed that "the incident has been resolved" and no arrests were made, despite the two people being detained.

"No suspects are being sought after, airport operations have resumed to normal business. Police PIO will be going to the scene to collect more information and give a briefing to media at Terminal 4," the department wrote in a post shared on its X account.
